In October 2024, Laila and her family entered a difficult new chapter, just a year after rebuilding their lives after leaving Gaza in October 2023 amid unimaginable loss and uncertainty.
Faced with uncertainty and the weight of a new country, Laila and her husband Shaheen made an extraordinary decision: not to retreat, but to create. To turn something painful into something purposeful.

With three children, Shawkat, Tolen, and Zain, watching her, Laila wanted to show them that even in winter, you can plant seeds of hope.
